This parking issue is becoming ridiculous. I am shocked that our HOA is putting permanent stickers on neighbors/people's cars. These are not abandon cars up on blocks. As a homeowner with a soon to be teenage driver, it is completely unreasonable to think that 3 cars will fit in a 2 car garage. My neighbors even got a sticker for parking in the alley on their own property/landscaping strip. Seems to be okay if you have it paved or a driveway large enough but not okay if you have a small driveway that doesn't fit your car.
We do not want to become the neighborhood that no one wants to live in because it's unlivable. Property values are already too low.

I think the dog crap in the common areas/front yards is a bigger issue than this. I assume that all you that complain about cars have no issues with letting your dogs crap in our yards and parks.

is there any language in the hoa legal stuff against solication? despite posting a note on my door to not solicite or leave any advertising material, each week there are several advertisements left on my door, as I'm sure there are on every door in the neighboorhood. unnecessary trash.

Regarding the Parking Resolution:

Regardless of the fact that I am surprised by the desire of "neighbors" to foster disharmony by enforcing a policy that frankly makes very little sense for cars that are used on a regular basis (as opposed to cars that might be left in place semi-permanently), clearly as a (hopefully not much longer) owner in this neighborhood I am required to comply with the Rules and Regulations.

What I am NOT required to do is submit to discomfort at the hands of the Board's rule enforcers due to their using enforcement techniques that are not authorized in the CC&Rs. I came out to my car this morning and found a PERMANENT sticker on my window informing me that I was in violation for parking in an unauthorized fashion. I am unable to find any clause in the CC&Rs nor the Parking Resolution authorizing any apointee of the Board to place PERMANENT stickers on cars, nor indeed any authorization to post ANY kind of notice on cars. What IS in place is a very detailed policy for informing offending owners through a series of notices, the second of which must be sent by Certified Mail. I for one have never received such a notice, and can only assume that the Board and its appointees do not feel compelled to follow their own policy, and instead desire to use capricious means outside of their legal ability.

If the Rules and Regulations have changed then I expect to receive timely notice of these changes, as required in the CC&Rs.

I expect to never again find stickers of any kind on my car, and for the individual who placed same to immediately clean the remnants of the one that was placed last night. If the remnants are not removed, and the sticker residue gums up my window lifting mechanism, I will review my options for recovering the cost to repair my car.

Hi there,

I have a couple concerns for the Parks that I'd like to bring to everyone's attention.

1) The dog owners in the neighborhood have gotten out of control. People seem to think it is okay to just open their doors and let their dogs roam free. The parks often have dog poop in them from people not picking up after their animals. In addition, we have poop in our yard about every other day, and we don't own a dog. I'd appreciate it if people took their pet responsibility a little bit more seriously so that those of us without animals can enjoy the parks as well.

2) There seem to be a lot of people using our pool that don't live in the Parks. I've asked random people where they live and have gotten the answer that they have friends in the Parks that let them use their key, or that they have just come in when someone else has opened the gate for them. I'm fine with bringing guests to the pool, but it shouldn't be an open policy for anyone in the city to use on hot days.

Wow, I never thought I'd end up sounding so much like my parents! :)

Thanks,
Jenny Goffrier

I blew out many sprinklers in your neighborhood last year at individual rates. I would like to propose a group rate this year with advanced scheduling. 541-420-4043

To our neighbors and the board: It would be helpful to know what the neighborhood thinks about food and drink in the pool area. The message I have received is mixed. The pool area has a nice picnic shelter with large trash receptacles and is ideal for entertaining or just hanging out for the afternoon (snacks and drinks almost a necessity), but I also saw a note that stated no food and drink are allowed within the fenced area. No food or drink sounds extreme, but on the other hand, the crumbs that were dropped and the glass beer bottles that were within feet of the pool's edge during the first weekend was surprising.
Thanks,
Karen Aylward

I'm looking for a concrete contractor to replace an existing walkway around my home. The present walkway is all cinder rock which is terrible in appearance and difficult to walk on. If you know of someone you could recommend please forward the name and hopefully phone number to djenkins46@cox.net. Thank you

To the Board: The homeowner at the corner of Davis Lake Loop and Blue Lake Loop has now added a garbage and air conditioner screen to the illegal wall, patio and hot tub screen previously constructed. Please respond and outline what is being done to address this continous flagrant disregard for our architectural guidelines. Or are we just dispensing with the architectural guidelines?

Thanks, Ann Jamison
